  2. Hello there Sir,

It's Gem from Bake do and Mend here. How are you?

Just a quick note to say that I've been thinking about going to Mangapps or Canvey Island Transport Museum and wondered if I toddled along would you want to come too? Seems silly to pop along to such a place and know that a fellow Blogger is nearby... I'm sure you're in Essex?

Maybe I coud get a few of us together and we could all have a blog outing?

Just trying to keep myself busy atm and thought doing such a thing might be a bit of fun. Also, as I read travel news for BBC Essex I'd like to actually get out and about to the county, as I've only ever visited Colchester and Chelmsford!

    Anyway,

Hope I haven't come across as too much of a wierdo. This blogging lark's odd, as you read a lot of stuff about people but don't actually know the but do all at once!

    Gem

  3. I love old horror films- how they created the effects was really ingenious!

  4. Gem,

I'm OK, barring a slight winter cold which I sometimes get at this time of year when the seasons change. ;-/ Thanks for the message - it's not weird at all, far from it in fact! It sounds like a good idea to me.

I'll be honest and say that I think the Canvey Island Transport Museum has pretty much closed for the season now. There might be a special opening around Christmas but it's likely to be on a small scale. Mangapps on the other hand sounds a distinct possibility. I thought the name sounded familiar and now I've looked it up and know exactly where it is the germ of an idea is forming in my mind. Perhaps you'd like to e-mail me and we can discuss it?

Well anyway, thanks again for stopping by - you're always welcome - and maybe we'll chat about this some more. :-)
